Established in 2006, we are a small multidisciplinary adult preventative and lifestyle medicine health clinic located at the historic Woolen Mill in Kingston, Ontario. 

PLEASE NOTE: We currently have a waiting list for our services, and due to the intensive nature of our program, can only admit a few new clients each month. We encourage potential new clients should contact the clinic to enquire about being added to the waiting list.

Dr Katherine Kilpatrick, BA, BNSc, MD, CCFP, FCFP, Diploma (Care of the Elderly)

PHYSICIAN & MEDICAL DIRECTOR 

Dr Katherine Kilpatrick is a Family Physician with additional training and over 25 years of experience in healthy aging and Lifestyle Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Queen’s University, and is a local expert in healthy aging and preventative health. 

Dr Kilpatrick opened Health for Life in 2006 with a goal to assist patients to achieve their Optimal health via team-based comprehensive health and wellness care. She believes in a proactive, preventative and lifestyle approach to optimizing health status and preventing future diseases and conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, strokes, osteoporosis, cancer, falls and disability. “Information is Power” is her motto.

Her approach to client Wellness is collaborative, multi-disciplinary and client-centered, with an emphasis on quality of life and optimization of lifestyle choices.

In her spare time, Dr Kilpatrick enjoys staying fit by running, rucking, swimming, nature walks and working-out, cooking plant-based dinners with friends and family, and unwinding at the cottage with her partner Rick (who is known to assist at HFL from time to time in various capacities) and Tigger the cat. She is an environmentalist, music-lover and avid reader.

Jessie Warren, NP-PHC, RN(ED), MN

NURSE PRACTITIONER 

Jessie obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Science from Queen’s University in 2010. She worked in the Kingston Health Sciences Centre Emergency department for 5 years while completing her Master’s of Nursing and the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner program.

Upon graduation she worked as a Nurse Practitioner in long term care before settling into a primary care role in Westport for the past 7 years. Jessie joined HFLMC in December of 2022. Jessie is a passionate outdoors enthusiast, snowboarder, sailor and traveller.

NURSING & NUTRITION 

Health for Life has a highly experienced and very engaged Registered Nurse (RN-Nutritionist) providing excellent nursing and comprehensive nutrition assessments and recommendations. She prefers not to have her name/details online, but we promise that when you meet her, you will love her!

FITNESS TRAINERS

Our fitness trainers will serve as a motivational guide providing personalized excercise routines while promoting accountability in order to empower patients to build a more active lifestyle. 

Diane Frizzell

FITNESS TRAINER

Diane is a dedicated personal and group training expert with 17+ years of experience with a proven track record of developing programs that promote results.

She is passionate about educating her clients and providing a fun, inclusive experience for beginners, die hard gym-goers, and mature clients. Diane is excited to bring her expertise to the Health For Life family and wants to guide clients to feel their very best.

Courtney Hamilton, BAH Health Studies, RHEP Ontario Fitness Council 

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER/CLIENT COORDINATOR/FITNESS ASSISTANT 

Courtney has provided a variety of client services to Health for Life since 2019. She is one of the first points of contact for new clients, does a great job of coordinating our client newsletters and special events, and provides very flexible fitness training services. 

Courtney obtained her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Health Studies from Queen’s University while playing on the Queen’s Varsity Fastpitch team. Prior to attending Queen’s, Courtney received her diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from St. Lawrence College. During this time, she also became a certified Personal Trainer with Ontario Fitness Council. 

Courtney is passionate about health, fitness, and all sports, but has always had a love for fastpitch. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors in the country, going on new adventures and spending time with her friends and family.

Our office administrator ensures efficient communication, and a streamlined processes that contributes to a patient-centered evironment. 

Megan R., Diploma Medical Office Administration 

MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT/CLIENT COORDINATOR 

Megan joined our team in 2024 bringing experience from several other medical clinics. She is a healthcare administration professional with dedication to her role as a medical office assistant, and enjoys the small clinic environment at Health for Life. She combines her strong organizational skills with a genuine passion for helping others.

Outside the office, you'll often find her exploring new outdoor adventures, pushing her limits in the gym and spending time with her family.

Amna Akhlaq

SENIOR CLINICAL ASSISTANT 

Amna is a trained physician from Pakistan who is currently working on her qualifications to practise in Canada.  She brings valuable skills and a positive attitude and is pleased to obtain Canadian healthcare experience at HFL. 

Pratima Shrestha

MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT

Pratima Shrestha is a compassionate and detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in health services administration. A graduate of the Office Administration – Health Services program at St. Lawrence College, she has a genuine passion for helping others and ensuring that both patients and healthcare providers feel supported and organized.

 

Prior to coming to HFL, Pratima worked at LA Nails, where she enjoyed providing superior customer service. Pratima believes that empathy and efficiency go hand in hand. She is committed to building a career in healthcare where she can contribute to a positive, patient-centered experience every day.
